B & H Framing’s Greenwich Gallery Presents a Summer Photography Instructional Series
Classes Taught By Award-Winning Photojournalists
Learn to see your surroundings and appreciate the beauty of Narragansett Bay in a whole new way. In response to customers’ requests for in-house art instruction, B & H Framing’s Greenwich Gallery is offering a series of six photo classes featuring Pulitzer-Prize winning photojournalist, Robert F. Bukaty, and Phoenix Photo Group co-founder, Paul Connors. The series will guide novice photographers through the thrilling realm of digital photography. Under the tutelage of expert instructors with decades of professional experience, the classes are designed to clarify the workings of the camera and pass on valuable tips for creating stunning images. The series will culminate with workshops designed for experienced amateurs. The following is a list of classes and events:
- Thursday, June 16, 7 p.m. “Learn to Create Stunning Photos”:
Beginners. Students will be introduced to compositional techniques and functions of the camera to gain a better understanding of photography as an art form. $55 per person. - Thursday, June 23, 7p.m. “Seeing My Area in a New Light”:
Beginners with a basic understanding of photography and experienced amateurs. Students will learn to recognize the beauty around them and some of the local events that makes New England one of the most desirable photo destinations in the country. $55 per person. - Thursday, June 30, 7p.m. “Take Memorable Portraits of Your Kids”:
Beginners with a basic understanding of photography and experienced amateurs. Students will learn techniques vital to creating children’s portraits and candid photos from special guest Susan E. Bouchard, one of Rhode Island’s premiere portraitists. $65 per person. - Friday, July 15, 11 a.m. “Block Island Through the Lens”:
This workshop gives beginners and experienced amateurs the opportunity to accompany professionals to the gorgeous local landmark. Fee includes cost of the ferry fare. $80 per person. - Monday, July 18-Wednesday July 20. Depth-of-Field Trip “Captivating Coastal Maine”:
Experienced amateurs. Spend a week with the PPG staff capturing the unsurpassed beauty of Maine. Visit the quaint lobster villages and lighthouses that have made Maine perhaps the most picturesque area of the country. $650 per person. - Thursday, August 4, 7p.m. “Fall Sports Photo Camp”:
Experienced amateurs. In preparation for the fall school sports season, students will learn techniques about capturing iconic action ands ports feature photos of their young athletes. $65 per person.
On Thursday, June 9th the Greenwich Gallery will be open for the Main Street Stroll. Paul Connors will be on hand to meet interested art enthusiasts.
